Mango Margarita

Today I’m posting a thing that is not a ?.

This is a Mango Margarita I made. The recipe is:

  • 1 chunk of mango
  • 1 chunk of lime
  • 2 shots tequila
  • 1/2 shot gun gin (optional)

Squeeze mango and lime juice into shaker, throw the mango meat in there too. Add all other ingredients and shake more vigorously than most drinks to squeeze the extra bit of mango juice out. Salt rim of the glass. Pour drink into glass. Garnish with mango and lime. Serves 1, but you can share, right?

This turned out pretty good. I would make it again.

Ah summer, the season for Shandy… Wait it’s not summer yet! Still, this is the season for  Leinenkugel’s Pomegranate Shandy.

This is a surprisingly refreshing mix of Leinenkugel’s “craft” beer and pomegranate juice. It is light with some citrusy notes, and as expected, is primarily pomegranate. This is a great drink for the end of a day of spring cleanup yardwork.

It is seasonal, so be sure to get it while it lasts!

Well, shiver me timbers and fiddle-de-dee! What sort of landlubbers’ grog ‘ave we ‘ere today? Double Cannon, you say? More like double mediocre!

Today’s beer is a “double” IPA. As far as pour goes, the head is not very impressive. There is almost no scent. But it sure tastes hoppy! I don’t know how they managed to cram so much hops into the flavor but retain such a mild scent. I love the pirate theme though!

This beer ? does not have any overpowering scents. The flavor has notes of banana. And more banana. If you like bananas, you will go bananas for this one .
